Brume is a guesthouse located in the Landes region, in the village of Messanges, less than two kilometres from the ocean.
A simple, beautiful place designed to slow down and savour the moment.
Here, everything comes naturally on foot or by bike.
Brume is tucked into the centre of Messanges, just steps from the local bakery, small shops, cafés and restaurants.
Cycling paths lead you straight to the beach in under ten minutes.
La Vélodyssée begins at the end of the garden, allowing you to explore the surrounding area by bike. Whether you head to Hossegor, Vieux-Boucau, Moliets-et-Maa or the Courant d’Huchet nature reserve, everything is within easy reach.
The car quickly becomes secondary. The pace slows down on its own.
Brume is, above all, an intimate guesthouse where hospitality and connection truly matter.
Gillian and Marie are on site to welcome you, guide you throughout your stay, and share their favourite local addresses, surf spots and seasonal recommendations, always tailored to your mood and the moment.
The lively atmosphere of Hossegor and Seignosse is less than twenty minutes away, while Moliets-et-Maa is just five minutes from the house, close enough to enjoy the vibrant energy of the Atlantic coast, yet far enough to savour the calm and gentle pace of Messanges.
- THE ROOMS -
Brume features five bedrooms, each designed as a calm and comfortable retreat.
Every room has its own private bathroom and toilet, and opens onto a terrace overlooking the garden and the pool.
During your stay at Brume, you’ll have access to all shared spaces: the swimming pool, the garden, the pool house, and the main living area which is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and ease into the day.
Each morning, breakfast is available as an optional extra, prepared with fresh, locally sourced products.
It can be booked on site the day before, depending on your plans and the rhythm of your stay.

THE HOUSE
Inside, the bedrooms are bright and comfortable, with soft décor inspired by the 1970s.
The house is centred around a shared living space, designed for slow mornings and moments together.
Outside, a sun-filled garden welcomes you with:

a pool house, a true gathering place with a lounge area, yoga sessions, and the 1969 Estafette bar, lovingly restored by Christophe, Gillian’s father,

and of course… surfboards ready to head straight to the waves.
Days unfold naturally between the beach, the garden and the house.
A washing machine is available on request as an optional service.
Brume offers the best of both worlds: the peace and nature of the Landes, just a few kilometres from the vibrant energy of Hossegor.

Discover the region
BETWEEN OCEAN AND LANDES FOREST
Around Messanges, nature is everywhere. The Landes forest surrounds the village, and cycling paths lead easily to the ocean, winding through pine trees and dunes.
Just a few minutes away, Messanges beach offers long stretches of wild coastline, perfect for surfing, long walks, or simply spending the day by the water.
The region is also home to several lakes within easy reach: Lake Léon, Lake Soustons, the marine lake of Vieux-Boucau and the Moïsan pond. These are ideal spots for swimming in calmer waters, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a peaceful corner of nature.
Golf lovers can also play at the Moliets Golf Course, located about ten minutes from the house, a renowned course set between forest and ocean.
A little further south, Seignosse, Hossegor and Capbreton offer a different atmosphere, with iconic surf spots, lively markets, cafés and restaurants. Close enough to enjoy easily, yet far enough to return to the peaceful rhythm of Messanges at the end of the day.
Between ocean, lakes and forest, Messanges is the perfect starting point for discovering the landscapes and outdoor activities of the Landes.
